Not great for sensitive skin
This algae moisturiser is an avocado colour very similar to guacamole but does not leave a green tint on the skin. It’s described as a lightweight gel texture but it’s quite gloopy and a little more tacky than silky feeling, which may be due the oils in the ingredients. On my combo dehydrated skin I need to apply a lot and it feels like it sits a little bit on top of the skin, smaller amounts do absorb better but are not hydrating enough. My oily t zone is left a little shiny, my skin is also very sensitive and as with a lot of organic skincare there is something it in that causes me slight irritation and luckily I patch tested as I had to rinse it off some more sensitive patches. For me it’s not soothing and calming it’s just not a good match for my skin. The scent is similar to unscented carrier oil or cooking oil that’s expired, it wouldn’t put me off if I loved the cream but it’s not pleasant. I like that it’s a refillable container but it’s not a cream I would recommend without testing it first.

Leaves skin looking greasy
I’ve been using kora organics products for months now and I absolutely love every other product I’ve tried. I have combination skin and I just recently started using moisturizer in the morning. But it leaves my skin looking really greasy and very shiny which is extremely disappointing. I love that it has clean ingredients but very disappointed with the finish of it.
