Product Description

With 7% Glycolic Acid, Amino Acids, Aloe Vera, Ginseng and Tasmanian Pepperberry.

Glycolic Acid is an alpha hydroxyl acid that exfoliates the skin. This 7% toning solution offers mild exfoliation for improved skin radiance and visible clarity. The formula also improves the appearance of skin texture with continued use.

This formula contains a studied Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative to help reduce irritation associated with acid use. This derivative is of plant origin and varies in colour seasonally and this colour variation may be apparent in the formula from time to time. The formula is further supported with inclusion of ginseng root and aloe vera for both visible radiance and soothing benefits.

This pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic Acid has a pKa of 3.6 and pKa is the most important aspect to consider in formulating with acids. pKa implies acid availability. When pKa is close to pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity, maximising effectiveness of the acid and reducing irritation. Higher pH numbers in such a case would increase salt which counter-intuitively would make the formula even more irritating than if the formula was more acidic.

Alcohol-free, nut-free, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free.

Directions

Use ideally in the PM, no more frequently than once per day. After cleaning, saturate a cotton pad with the formula and sweep across face and neck. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Do not rinse off. Continue with additional skin treatments as needed. If persistent irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician.

This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards. Use only as directed. Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not pleasing as i thought. this is basically a chemical peel, it burns, and in my opinion does nothing. i tried it a few nights and it burned the hell out of my skin even though i didnt use a lot. i needed to use it for my closed comodones on my forehead likely mistakened for fungal acne. (i dont have acne so i didnt think it was it) for the price though i dont matter buying it really, it help with something i guess but not with my closed comodomes which i thought it will.

Can I use vitamin c on my skin after I use this toner ?

Asked by: Anonymous
It's probably best not to. Because both are quite acidic, it may be too much to put both on your skin at the same time. You could perhaps use Vitamin C in AM and only use this toner in the PM. You should only really use this toner once a day.

What is this like for acne / acne prone skin breakouts / acne scars? Any good ??

Asked by: Demi Lee
I used to have incredibly bad acne but luckily it is much milder as I have gotten older. I find this a gentler way to exfoliate my skin without irritating it. I can't say for sure whether it makes a huge difference to my acne (it may or may not) however it has helped the texture and scarring of my teen acne tremendously!

Can I use this product with the lactic acid 10% + ha?

Asked by: Anonymous
You can but I recommend you tolerate the lactic acid 10% first before cooperating both into your routine as it can be quite harsh

I would like to use this product alongside the Retinoid. Is that possible? The tinned would be used first right?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hey there, Using Retinol and Glycolic acid together is a little bit complicated, this is because they can both dry out the skin. Normal/ oily skin types are fine to try this combination, if you’re on the drier or more sensitive side we would advise to start with glycolic acid and give your skin time to adjust. If you’re doing great with that and have no irritation, then you can add in retinol. Hope this helps! For further information on products please contact us on beautyexperts@feelunique.com. Can you use the buffet with this and if so, should it be before or after this toner?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hey there, You can use this toner with The Buffet however you would use the toner first then apply The Buffet. This is because the toner has exfoliating properties which means your serum would be removed if applied first before toning. Hope this helps! Many thanks Katie, Beauty Expert.
