The Ordinary Retinol 0.2 % in Squalane 30ml
Product Description
This water-free solution contains 0.2% pure Retinol, an ingredient that can reduce the appearances of fine lines, of photo damage and of general skin ageing. While Retinol has been studied extensively, it is irritating to the skin and newer technologies exist that mimic the visible effects of Retinol without causing skin irritation. For this reason, The Ordinary generally recommends using Granactive Retinoid 2% or Granactive Retinoid 5% instead of this formula.

Directions
Apply a small amount to face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water serums but before heavier treatments. Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure. Store in a cool, dry place.

So far so good!
Been using this product for a couple of weeks and I’ve had zero irritation. My complexion is definitely smoother and more even. Dropped a star as I’m using two other new products and it’s hard to know if it really is this product that is making the difference but overall I’m happy and will buy a stronger retinol next time.

This is a great retinol serum. The squalane base looks a little greasy at first but I gradually absorbs over night. I’m enjoying it so far.

Retinol can cause significant irritation, redness and peeling, especially around the eyes and mouth which means we would not recommend using this around the eye area.

I would recommend the The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane 30ml to be the best product to try when introducing a retiniol in to your skin care routine.
When first introducing Retinol you may wish to use a few times per week and gradually increase to every evening.

There are conflicting factors when using the Retinol 0.2% in Squalane , Niacinamide 10%+ Zinc 1% and Lactic acid 10%.

I'm 24 and I don't think I'm going to have to worry about wrinkles for a few years, but I have noticed the appearance of open pores either side of my nose where I think the skin is starting to lose it's elasticity. Is retinol for me or is it too early?

At what point in your night time skin routine should you use this? Currently I cleanse, tone, serum, eye cream and then moisturise. Am I meant to put this on after using my toner?

It is recommended to apply this in the evening, depending on what type of serum you are using you would apply this just before if the serum is quite heavy. If the serum is water based, you would want to apply this after.
Please note, it is essential to apply an SPF to your skin the next day to ensure you are protected from UV rays.
