Product Description
This water-free solution contains 1% pure Retinol, an ingredient that can reduce the appearances of fine lines, of photo damage and of general skin ageing.
While Retinol has been studied extensively, it is irritating to the skin and newer technologies exist that mimic the visible effects of Retinol without causing skin irritation.
For this reason, we generally recommend using Granactive Retinoid 2% or Granactive Retinoid 5% instead of this formula.
Water-free, alcohol-free, nut-free, vegan, gluten-free.

Directions
Apply a small amount to face in the PM as part of your skincare regimen, after water serums but before heavier treatments.
Do not use with other retinoid treatments. Avoid unprotected solar exposure. Store in a cool, dry place.

I used this on my body as opposed to face. It helped even out some texture. Not keen on the squalene, it's a bit heavy for me

Great for intermediate users of retinol
I bought this after using the 0.5% retinol in squalene also from The Ordinary. I've since purchased 3 bottles. It's great for someone who uses a lower strength retinol and is looking for something stronger. I have oily skin and using this in my night routine helps keep my skin clear and less textured.

I like the addition of squalane to help assist with the harsh effects of a retinol, but unfortunately this one made me purge very badly and for far too long, so I discontinued use.

Can this be used under the eyes? Also for people who usually buy this, do you know how long it usually takes to be restocked?
No I wouldn’t use around the eyes. Says not to on bottle. Not sure when it’s restocked
