A hydrating gel mask containing calming niacinamide, aloe vera and hyaluronic acid, that delivers a soothing burst of hydration to the scalp to help relieve itching and flaking.
Directions
- Apply directly to the scalp, sectioning the hair as needed to get directly to the root and massage in.
- Leave on for 10 to 30 minutes, or sleep in overnight for an added moisture hit.
- Rinse out thoroughly and follow with your preferred shampoo and conditioner.

Refreshing hair mask
Love this hair mask! It feels so cooling on the scalp and is very hydrating. Has a gel texture and leaves scalp feeling clean and moisturized. Highly recommend!

Lovely and soothing
I was chosen to test this as part of the Sephora community. I struggle with very dry scalp and dry and fine hair so this sounded like a perfect thing for me to try and i wasn't disappointed.
It has a jelly like consistency that makes it easy to apply and ensure that i have fuly covered the areas of my scalp i want to. It has a sort of menthol type smell and you can feel the tingly feeling you get from menthol type products when you apply but this is a nice feeling and not too overwhelming juts makes you feel how its working as it absorbs into your skin and scalp. I loved that you could sleep in it over night for a more intense treatment or just leave for 30 minutes.
My scalp felt as though i could feel the moisture retruning and after leaving and washing out my hair and scalp felt lovely. I really has reduced the itchiness and dryness that i suffer with on my scalp. Very impressed - I've been trying products for years and this is by far the product I've had the best results from. i would definitely recommend and will purchase again

Soothing
I was really interested & excited to be chosen to try this product.
I have thick, course, wavy/naturally curl hair. So for me its always a constant battle between not enought conditioner & too much. Which leaves me with an itchy irritated scalp - from product overload & build up. Which leaves me reaching for a detox shampoo/ scalp scrub - which then drys my hair out. I need something balancing/ a reset and this did just that.
I have to say upon opening this product - i was put off using it. I wasnt a fan of the gel/jelly like consistency and the smell was awful. Though i could smell the aloe vera in it, which was reassuring. But i was still nervous about trying - probably because as im used to deep conditioning shea hair masks. None the less this was soothing and really took the itch out of my scalp! I found that it took more time & effort than my usual hair mask routine. As i had to section my hair into sections, apply, leave on and then start my shower/hair routine. Im much more of a slather on the ends/ leave on/wash off & done kind of mask girl. But i am now curious about the rest of the brand & products.

Top notch - very soothing
Reason for trying
I have very fine, shoulder length hair which easily looks heavy from products while also having a very dry scalp which can be itchy when seasonal allergies impact me.
Scent
It has a strong mint scent with a hint of menthol herbs behind it, very pleasant and reminiscent of many relaxing products I have used.
Texture
It’s a light silky gel that doesn’t leave any nasty residue on the fingers.
Application
I decided to just go for it without segmenting my hair, it went well enough however the package instructions do recommend it, and it probably would have been a little easier.
You get a big pot and you don’t need a lot when applying it goes a long way.
Wearing the mask
Once on, the mask has a cooling feel from the mint/menthol which was pleasant and didn’t feel at all heavy.
Twenty minutes in my scalp feels very soothed, not an itch to be felt.
After use
It rinsed out before I even shampooed, my scalp has a light tingle and no itching and overall my scalp feels soothed.
Overall
I would recommend this product for anyone suffering with seasonal allergies or dry scalp.

Straand The Halo Hydrator 150ml
Oh my goodness, where has Straand The Halo Hydrator been all my life?! I have 4C hair and my go-to style is buns or twists, I’m always on the lookout for a product that truly delivers on hydration, and let me tell you—this is it!
After using The Halo Hydrator four times over the past two weeks, I am absolutely floored by the results. From the very first application, I could feel the difference. My scalp, which tends to be on the drier side, soaked up the moisture like a sponge, and the relief was instant. What’s even better is that it didn’t leave any annoying buildup behind—just pure hydration where I needed it most.
And let's talk about itchiness. Usually, I find myself constantly scratching my scalp within days following a wash day or reaching for some relief, but since incorporating this product into my routine, the itchiness has significantly reduced. I last used the product 4 days ago and this was me being proactive rather than in response to my scalp itching. It’s like a soothing, hydrating hug for your scalp. The last time I applied it I didn't even rinse after applying, the product is light and I didn't mind the smell- infact it is cooling on the scalp. I found that it works best for me this way.
For anyone with a dry scalp, especially those with 4c hair in protective styles like twists, I cannot recommend Straand The Halo Hydrator enough. It’s been a game-changer for me, and I’m sure it will be for you too!

Hydrating and refreshing!
Very light but works really well. Because it's gel it does make your hair a bit stiff after applying it but my scalp feels really hydrated now

Hydrating, eases my psoriasis itch!
I suffer from scalp psoriasis so I have a very dry, itchy and easily irritated scalp! I haven't used any STRAAND products before using the STRAAND 'The Halo Hydrator', it has the best consistency that I've had in a scalp mask to date as it's a not too thick and not too runny, its gel-like texture that is extremely cooling on the scalp. My itchiness reduced dramatically and my scalp didn't feel irritated at all while I let it sit on the scalp. I have done multiple applications now, several times leaving it on for 30 minutes and a couple of times overnight for an extra moisture boost. I can honestly say I've seen an improvement in my psoriasis symptoms with reduced redness and itchiness and made my scalp more hydrated. The scent is quite pleasant, I'd describe it being quite herbal and smell of cooling menthol. I also love the packaging and the mask pot size is a very generous 150ml, it will go a long way. I have very thick hair and have used several times with loads of product left so it's very cost effective! I would recommend this product for anyone that suffers a dry and itchy scalp. Some people with thick and unruly hair may find it a bit difficult to apply but it is easy to get the hang of it and overall is an enjoyable experience using the product.

Soothing
I really enjoyed using this scalp mask. It has a light gel texture which means it doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy or greasy at all. I applied this about 10 minutes before shampooing and my scalp felt so nourished and moisturised. It didn't feel tight at all. With all the hype around skincare for the face, we often neglect other areas like the scalp. Mine has been wreaking havoc lately with grease and random spots but this helped to bring balance and calm to my scalp. It's in great condition now and the hair around my scalp feels so so soft. I'm tempted to use this all over my hair because the results were incredible. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of the smell. It has a herbal smell to it but it does not linger when you wash it out and I can live with it considering the results!
